If the Nioh series ever continues I hope they keep the brilliant customization and combat of this game and perhaps incorporate a more lively and modern open world design. I've beaten the main campaign on the main difficulty already and now just play it on the harder difficulty whenever I want to get lost in this absolutely beautiful fantasy all over again. And right when you're on top of your badass samurai/ninja power trip, Nioh will find a way to absolutely humble you all over again. Between the fantastic character customization and all of the different weapons and spells you can use, you can feel like whatever kind of badass Japanese-fantasy warrior you want to be. The combat is absolutely pristine, it's faster-paced and more combo-oriented than most souls-like games, with a brilliant "ki pulse" mechanic that rewards its use in between combos.
